Honor
The Lone Star Flag is the official flag of the U.S. state of Texas. The flag, flown at homes and businesses statewide, is highly popular among Texans and is treated with a great degree of reverence and esteem within Texas. Along with the flag of Hawaii, it is one of two state flags to have previously served as a national flag of an independent country.
One Riot
The legend of “One Riot, One Ranger” has many conflicting origins, and is oft quoted to bear witness to the self-reliance, skill, and daring of Texas Rangers. Generally, each story involves a Ranger single-handedly facing down a mob or criminal gang. The Texas Ranger Division, also known as the Texas Rangers, also known as Diablos Tejanos (Spanish for 'Texan Devils'), is an investigative law enforcement agency with statewide jurisdiction in the U.S. state of Texas. In the time since its creation, the Texas Rangers have investigated crimes ranging from murder to political corruption, acted in riot control and as detectives, protected the governor of Texas, tracked down fugitives, served as a security force at important state locations, including the Alamo, and functioned as a paramilitary force at the service of both the Republic (1836–1846) and the State of Texas.

Samuel Houston was an American general and statesman who played a prominent role in the Texas Revolution. He served as the first and third president of the Republic of Texas and was one of the first two individuals to represent Texas in the United States Senate. Come & Take it
In 1835 Mexican President Santa Anna dissolved the Constitution and made himself dictator. Tensions began to flare between his oppressive government and the liberty minded desires of Texans and Tejanos, then citizens of Mexico. To suppress the rumblings of unrest and revolution, the Mexican military leaders began to quietly disarm the Texans. One of the first actions was to retrieve a cannon lent to the Texan colonists at Gonzales. The famous bronze cannon was loaned to the Gonzales colonists by the Mexican government in 1831 to defend themselves from hostile Apaches and Comanches. A detachment of 100 Mexican soldiers sent to retrieve the cannon camped beside a swollen river under the watchful eye of 18 Texas volunteers. This gave Stephen F. Austin time to assemble 150 more Texas volunteers and cross the river at night. They routed the Mexicans the following morning marking their first engagement and victory of the Texas Revolution.
Remember
“Remember the Alamo” was the battle cry of Sam Houston’s victorious army at the Battle of San Jacinto River where Santa Ana’s forces were defeated, and the Mexican dictator was captured and forced to capitulate making Texas a free nation. The sacrifice of the heroes, including Jim Bowie and Davie Crockett and commanded by William B. Travis, who defended the Alamo against Santa Ana’s army of more than 2,000 are remembered to this day. They held out for 13 days giving Sam Houston time to assemble and organize the army that would ultimately defeat Santa Ana and make Texas a free nation.
Austin
Stephen Fuller Austin was an American-born empresario. Known as the "Father of Texas" and the founder of Anglo Texas, he led the second and, ultimately, the successful colonization of the region by bringing 300 families and their slaves from the United States to the Tejas region of Mexico in 1825. The Capitol of Texas is named in his honor.
